Always loved this record and although it was not a not in the UK, there is a strong Motown connection. The song is in the Jobete catelog and was co-written by DePasse [[presumably Suzzane). The lable states it was arranged by Paul Risen. Is this a mis-print and referes to Paul Riser?

It so that is a further Motown connection.

The real find for me, however, was Gloria Jones' version of "If I Were Your Woman." It has the same backing track as Gladys & The Pips' version and must have been the demo for the song. Check it out:
