Honest Man - So glad you enjoyed the clip. I was very surprised when I stumbled on it, so I thought I should post it on SDF.

I've never heard of a studio version of WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD but like so much other unreleased material that eventually surfaces, it's certainly possible that Diana might have recorded it in the studio at some point. I'm familiar only with her live version--which I can tell you are, too, since you asked specifically about a studio one--that's included on FOREVER DIANA.

Here's a live performance clip from 1989--thank you luvMandD-- that's posted on YouTube:

Diana did a great job on Jesus Christ Superstar. Since it has been mentioned, here is a clip of Diana singing a full version of "What a wonderful world" from her "Stolen Moments" concert in NY. It was not included on the CD from that concert, but can be seen on the DVD/VHS.

What a beautiful clip, Skooldem. Thanks so much for posting. A great version of the song. And a Gil Askey kiss, too!

I found that pretty bad. The off kilter screeching between 1:00 and 1:10 is kind of off-putting, and I know she's capable of much better, especially during that time period. And her "I Don't Know How To Love Him" is under pitch in a BUNCH of places. She looks amazing, though. The arrangement leaves alot to be desired as well, too vegas-like and schmaltzy. To hear what this song is supposed to sound like just listen to either Yvonne Elliman's version, Helen Reddy's version.., this is what the song sounds like sung with proper pitch:

Great clip on Wonderful World; obviously close to Gil.

I'm glad she stopped flipping her hair; it was always an annoying habit.
