Dear God,

You are our Creator. You are the author of life.
Life is a precious gift.

We come today to commemorate and honor a life that is precious to us.

As we mourn the earthly loss of Eileen Brennan we pray that she is with you and your son Jesus Christ in Heaven where she will know eternal life. She is no longer with us, so we rejoice in the gifts she shared with us and celebrate her heavenly arrival.

We lift up our sadness and and ask you to fill our heats with love and gratitude in knowing you are with us now and always.

It seems not too many on the forum knew who Eileen Brennan was. She was a really good character actress usually cast in comedies like Pvt. Benjamin with Goldie Hawn. Brennan played a tough, mean and rigid Captain Doreen Lewis to Hawn's Judy Benjamin, a sweet and delicate jewish princess. Brennan was Oscar nominated for the role and also won an Emmy for playing Capt. Lewis in the short lived TV version of Pvt. Benjamin. She was also in The Last Picture Show and CLUE. May she rest in peace.
