I received my copy today and just thumbed through it. In the photo section there is a not before seen by me 1980-ish photo of MPG that completely does not work for me. In the appendix, the song has been recorded at least 30 times. with Van Halen, Jagger/Bowie being probably the best known covers and biggest sellers. So there was a lot of revenue generated by the song. The timeline of events before and after the song was released in 1964 is mindblowing. As a 9 year old at the time, I could not connect the dots, but it looks like a good read. Without having read it, I am happy to have it.

I started reading it and if you are a reader, as I am, and cringe when reading a lot of the Motown Books, this is a Big Boys Book.
