1978....
Dang, memory overload...I was so deeply immersed in P-Funk I sometimes forget what
other goodies I got into that year. Completely forgot about Smokey's Daylight and Darkness,
man that was a killer track, and also forgot about Jermaine doing his best Ron Isley on Castle
Of Sand! Lordy!...And I'll be damned if I didn't love the Commodores when they were still
a black funk soul band. Of course I have to say though he wasn't actually being innovative
but derivative, Rick James certainly made an impression with his first album. Got him in
the funk wars big time. I had that sucker on 8 track tape! LOL!!!!!!! Good stuff there, no-place....
