It's been so long, I almost forgot Stevie Wonder was still recording. Yet, this is good news.....

I hope he still has the funk. I'm sick and tired of his ballads.

Good news, though I really hope he does a tour some time soon!

Yes, he is. Do you know where Diane is now?

He did a tour a few years ago and still does an occasional concert here and there at festivals like Bonaroo and Lollapolooza. And I believed he played the Cosmopolitan in Vegas a year or two ago. Good that his management lands him such gigs where there is a younger audience who can hear his music and he’s not just doing the oldies venues like Indian Casinos.

Although not among his best albums [[but that's a very high bar!), I like most of "A Time To Love", his last studio release. It's not great, but I think it's good. So I'm looking forward to "Ten Billion Hearts." The gospel cd could also be a treat. I'm not so convinced about these "symphonic" arrangements for "When The World Began", but we'll see.

But I've read elsewhere that he's been planning the gospel cd for some years now, and also working on "Ten Billion Hearts" for some time. So don't expect anything soon.

Next year, it'll be four. In 2015, it'll be five. By his 70th birthday in 2020, it'll be ten. Don't believe the hype.

I don't know about Miss Ross, but she should at least release an album of standards, on MOTOWN, while MOTOWN: THE MUSICAL continues to make big noise worldwide!

I hope Diana's next album is all original material. I'm sick of the standards/song book covers concept.

How in the hell did this thread turn into a Diana Ross thread? Wait...don't tell me...I already know.

^ Lol

Poor Stevie. Least when I make my Marvin threads, no... oh wait a minute I don't wanna jinx myself. Keeping to myself. *whistle*

If you're not careful - like I wasn't with the Cindy Birdsong thread - you'd get suck into the Supremes zone. *hums Twilight Zone theme*
