You would think that after 50 ears of being a star that she'd be used to total strangers running up an escalator to take her picture.

Ross's behavior was not rude or abnormal to me and certainly not news worthy to this extent. She did not ask the fan to destroy the pic, snatch the cell or yell obscenities or even have someone tackle him to the ground. Those are some of the things I have heard stars do of late but not in this case.

I think it's hard for people to think of Miss Ross as a human being. There are times when I'm a jerk at work like when I'm stressed or too many bad things happen, and other times when I so nice and fun. Having my pic snapped and my private space invaded at the wrong time could get me to act out. All she did was comment, but, Miss Ross is news.

Absolutely it would annoy me as well, someone snapping pictures in my private space. But of course, I don't consider an escalator a private space, and I never would want to be famous for that very reason. But i'm sure Diana will get over it while sitting in her multi million dollar mansion.

Often ignorant, simple minded or just plain stupid people find a rare, warm, intensly complex joy like that which Diana Ross has brought to millions every year for the last five decades is just too complex of an emotion to deal with and find it easier to just be miserable. Like the song says, "......Easy........to be hard.." As is usually the case, there are often a few casualties to achieve a common goodness or in this case, Supremeness.

Diana Ross cares about the economy and the music industry and thousands of workers will be happy to have the extra paycheck because of her four tours this year. Drivers, sound, lighting, electricians, truck drivers, stagecraft people, ticket agents, security, ushers, parking lot attendants, merchandise, food & beverage purveyors, printers, promoters, hotel & airline staff all are grateful that she puts herself out and foregoes her luxury mansion life so that others may live a little nicer. Or, as you have pointed out in MWOS - [[that you know for a fact that she's broke having lost her fortune to Bernie Madoff and her lavish lifestyle that a washed-up has-been can't afford) maybe she just needs the millions. Duh, if that were true about Diane, then why didn't she help Florence Ballard? Why did she demand the majority of the money from RTL and asked Mary and Cindy to work for peanuts? Get outta Dodge.....that woman is no where near saintly! LOL!!!

There a few true saints, [[but I try.) sounds like a Velvelettes song title. You know she tried to help Flo and many believe she did finally and was the source of the mystery money. We'll probably never know. She also helped Flo's kids - ask them. She also tried in vain to get them into college that she would fund. Ask them. She's helped many Motowners including Cindy, Mary, Mary Wells, Janie Bradford, Eddie Kendricks and others.......You also know she didn't demand anything from Mary & Cindy during RTL. She wisely felt it best to stay out of the money matters concerning Mary so she couldn't be blamed for anything later in Mary's next volume. It was a mistake, but after Mary blaming her for everything - including Motown 25, she was certainly not going to be involved with Mary financially. [[Once bitten......... ) The fact that she agreed to go near Mary for a tour brings her close to Sainthood. Cindy realized Mary played her and has publicly stated she was sorry she didn't do her own deal and go do the show. Ask her. If Mary had played her cards right, she wouldn't be playing RV Parks and casino matinees today [[Would you like me to post the casino email blast my bud got a week before Mary in Pittsburgh??)
