Howdy, Folks. It's been a horrible few days for the Oklahomans...the shocking power of the forces of nature have caused unbelievable devastation. Our hearts and prayers are with the many thousands of those affected. Tonight's show is for them...it's not much, but empathy and hope are all I got.

Tonight's show is the 2nd and final installment of Original, Authentic Backing Tracks, the musical element of songs that allows the musicians and background singers to shine. There will be no lead vocals to distract from what's going on in the background. I just thought I'd give the background of these great Pop, Rock, Motown and Soul tracks to be
given it's due. Speaking of "due"....DO join me tonight....for all this and more...on "Nightflight"...on WOMR 92.1 FM Provincetown and WFMR 91.3 FM Orleans and we are streaing worldwide in digital stereo at www.womr.org [[http://www.womr.org/)
Thanks! John

Hey John, looking forward to more OABT's on tonights Nighflight program. Would you by any chance have any OABT's of the Doors. Maybe something featuring Ray Manzarek's unique, upfront key boarding? See you and the gang later on the Radiola.

Rest In Peace Ray Manzarek. Thank you for the music.

John, not only are you the "Motown Man" with heart and soul, you obviously have a lot of compassion for others as well. As always, I will be listening this evening, and my thoughts going out to the people of Oklahoma.

Joseph....hey there! As some backing tracks have been very easy to locate, some artists are most difficult....no Paul Simon, Simon and Garfunkel, Billy Joel, Petula Clark and no
Doors. We Motown fans are so lucky that so much popular and rare Motown backing tracks have been available...and many of them thanks to Andy Skurow from the Original
karaokes. Sorry....really! See you later on the Radiola, my friend!

Yep, Stock Aiken Waterman..... They did cut tracks for a follow up for Donna then had a falling out with her so they cut those tracks on a different artist who's name escapes me at the moment

John, sorry about posting so late. I really dug the wide range diversity of music backing tracks you played last evening. With so many digital radio programs worldwide to listen to, Night Flight show is consistently good and fun. I going to Los Angeles for three weeks in June, and will try my best to track down a cyber cafe nearby so I don't miss out.

John - Although I did not surface on the show last night, I was intently listening and enjoying the show. I agree that the wide range of music added the right touch to the show. I look forward to your Petula Clark tribute next week. Have a great week my friend!

What would be very interesting [[and I'm sure you've already thought of this) would be if you could use the Four Tops vocal with the BT & TB instrumental!!

Mike...I certainly would love to put those 2 together....alas, not really possible since the 2 versions are totally different in instrumentation. But thanks for the suggestion!
