Not because he is my husband but... as some people have put it, he should be honored by them all, because he influenced so many singers from different genres as well as in different generations. So far he's been honored by some of the best such as:
* National Endowment of the Arts "Jazz Master" Award
* Kennedy Center "Living Legend" Award
* N.A.B.O.B. "Pioneer" Award
* Jazz Foundation of America "Lifetime Achievement" Award
* Rhythm & Blues Foundation "Pioneer" Award [[Inagural Class - 1st Group of Inductees - 1989).
* Now the 'Inagural Class' of the official Rhythm & Blues Music Hall of Fame for "Musical Achievements & Contributions to the Music Industry" Award - 2013.

It's wonderful, I am so happy for Jimmy, he's the oldest of his peers, he'll be 88 years old on July 17th. and one of the most beloved entertainers for his sweet personality.
