This reminds me of how different things are compared to my own growing up...these songs
were what my parents were listening to between my birth and first year of life and also what I was still hearing and enjoying in our household 10, 12, 13 years later...

I always say it's not how Billie Holiday sounded, it's the way she sang words and lyrics that you immediately understood how she felt.
