I just got into this woman recently through an associate of mine who can be a jerk but has great musical taste. I can't wait to get her cd. Her name
is Beth Hart. I like her so much I can overlook her tattoos....

Hmmm. Was that the blues? IT WAS very quiet. YOU KNOW I like my blues raw, LOUD, gritty and down home ala Shirley Brown, Denise Lasalle, Susan Tedeshi, etc. I talk loud, drink whiskey, fist fight on Saturday nite and I cuss.

I like a lot of variations of the blues, Kam, sorry if that was too close to jazz piano for you....
Maybe you'll like this better...

I didn't know she'd been around so many years or how I missed her...

Oh yeah, she was on the Kennedy Honors salute last year for Buddy Guy. She was good on that show. WHAT happened to Susan Tedeshi?

Splanky, I liked I'd Rather Go Blind better. She is phenomenal. And she can squall!

Kam, Susan's doing fine. She and her husband Derek have formed the Tedeshi -Trucks band
and have been touring together , putting their individual groups on hiatus...
Beth, I have learned has had a very rough time with drugs and alcohol [[as have so many
musicians) but is working and enjoying being clean again...

Splanky - Thanks for this thread. Hadn't heard of Beth Hart before. Quite good. And with a lovely touch--just a tad--of a Randy Crawford quality to her voice. Very enjoyable.
