LOVE me some Walter!!! :o
I'd also add "Tell Me Where It Hurts" to that list, even though it came later.

When was Lee Cross released? I forget, but that piano intro is the most soulful thing I've ever heard. Whoever played those opening notes and chords - played the hell out of 'em.

"Lee Cross" was the flip of "It's All Over" released in 1964. I don't have access to YT at the moment but I'll check later today to see if it's on YT and I'll add LC to this list.

Thread bumped for benefit of RobertZ. My favourite has always been "It's An Uphill Climb to the Bottom".

Thanks so much! Will listen tonight. "Uphill" is excellent, to be sure! I think most of the Okeh material is majestic. Are you familier with the later material?
