The former Fugees star, who is facing a possible prison sentence for failing to file tax returns, allegedly stopped making payments on her mansion in South Orange, New Jersey last month [[Mar13).

Her landlord has taken the case to court and is demanding the singer pays the rent bill or faces eviction from the property, according to TMZ.com.

The star has been renting the home since 2009.

Hill is accused of owing more than $1.6 million to tax authorities and faces up to three years in prison after pleading guilty to charges of failing to file her returns between 2005 and 2007.

A judge will announce her sentence on Monday [[22Apr13), but she has asked for probation instead of jail time so she can work towards paying off her tax debts.

Lauryn Hill has been for me the biggest letdown in American music history of the last 25 years. I know she just announced that she is going to release a new studio album, there is a couple of stories about it on aol and other sites but I so out of her fanbase right now I may
never get it...I understand a lot of her gripes about the music industry and her personal
issues but as someone once said "A love you don't see can't last forever"...I was peeved a bit
by Sade's hiatus but at least she left behind a large enough body of work for me to savour.
Not counting Lauryn' work as a Fugee, the woman did one album and then jumped off the cliff. For someone who won the praise of her elders, Isaac Hayes, Aretha Franklin, who she
was invited to produce and Roberta Flack who originated the song she hit with, that to me
was quite a disappointment...Sorry, I had to get that off my chest...Ommmmm.............

That woman has clearly lost her mind. Drugs and bad boyfriends will do that to you. If they ever make a movie about her, I don't want to see it because I know the ending is going to be sad.
