We get alot ALOT of whales beaching themselves in pods in my part of the world..its a common occurence last week there was a stranding of around 37 sadly they couldnt save many of them..i dont know if its the changing temparture in the ocean but I suspect its something to do with ecological changes in the water..the locals and alot of kids try to keep the whales hydrated as they try and get them back to sea..whales are considered mystical creatures in Moari legend they are beautiful creatures...
