Never seen that script on a motown acetate, and it doesn't sound 'Detroit' at all. Anyone know who it is singing, or details about the Jobete script, the song, or anything else?

Could be Thelma... Not sure though, where did you find that information?

search for "Jobete" on Ebay>Music, thomas ... you will see several other items with this script on the label: one is dated about 1974, and that seems about the right date for this one.

That's why it doesn't sound Detroit...thanks. Seems to be nothing of big value, like a Detroit press.

Thelma Houston recorded "Come To Me" for her "Anyway You Like It" album and at the start the vocals on the acetate do sound like Thelma too BUT around a quarter of the way in the voice becomes more distinctive and I am 99% certain that it is Randy Crawford [[and I'm a big fan of both ladies). This assumes that other label's artists might also appear on Jobete acetates? Randy Crawford also recorded "When I'm Gone" on her "Windsong" album.
