It is with great sadness and tear to report that Manuel Garcia Ferre has left us.
García Ferré was born in Almería [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Almer%C3%ADa), Spain [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spain), in 1929. He arrived in Argentina [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argentina) in 1947, and worked for advertising agencies [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manuel_Garc%C3%ADa_Ferr%C3%A9#) while studying Architecture. In 1952 his character Pi Pío was accepted and published by the important magazine Billiken [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billiken_[[magazine)). In 1964 he created Anteojito [[http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Anteojito&action=edit&redlink=1), a children's magazine [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manuel_Garc%C3%ADa_Ferr%C3%A9#) which at its height in the 1970s, had a circulation of 300,000 copies
