Sad. I heard he was in the hospiital. Loved The Cords. My brother bought the record on a Cat 45 in 1954 and it became a lifelong favorite of mine. Loved the B-Side of "Sha-boom" too, "Little Maiden".

May they all rest in peace.

Mr. McRae's son posted about his father's passing on an internet radio station this week.

I'm saddened to hear the news. We continue to lose too many too fast. The Chords were a great r&b/vocal group harmony group. They were true pioneers of rock and roll and will live on through their music.

My codolences to his family and friends. May he Rest In Peace...
