I use to love hearing Carolyn sing " My Smile is Just A Frown Turned Upside Down." It's been years ,but the last time I saw her sing it was New Years Eve 1994-95 on the high stage in the lobby of the Fox Theater during the intermission of Stevie Wonders 3 HOUR concert extravaganza [[don't ask me ,Stevie was clearly trippin because he was home in Detroit! hehehehehehe....). I could listen to Carolyn all day.

Marv - You lucky guy! Carolyn has one of those voices that make me want to listen. I liked everything she did at Motown but it wasn't nearly enough. Way too little produced. Which sadly turned out to be all too true for many who were there. And for the many who wouldn't or couldn't stay, back in the day.

I sure was lucky. I was at this show on the rooftop of the Ponchitrain Hotel, downtown Detroit in 1989 or 90 when they recorded Carolyn reprising her 1978 hit with Hamilton Bohannon, "Let's Start the Dance" arguably one of the baddest dance records ever released!
