Interesting take, but the song needs the backing vocals.

Without the call and response, it is not the same song in my opinion. He drained every ounce of soul out of that song. Similiar to what James Taylor did with Marvin Gaye's "How Sweet it Is to Be Loved By You". It has to have the backing vocals even if sung this slow.......

That's wonderful! I have always enjoyed other artist do covers of Supremes songs. I think Kim Wilde's "Keep Me Hangin On" is one of my favorites.
