Anyone else notice the similarites in Baby I've Got It and Come See About Me?

Sounds more like a slowed down "Nowhere to Run" by the Vandellas

Kamasu & Marv - Could be a little bit of everything, I guess. But awfully good, don't 'cha think? And don't The Andantes sound fantastic? I sure thought so. And I just love the tune and Jimmy. Heard it for the first time this morning, and it really got to me. Immediately.

The dragging of the chains across the floor is what reminded me of Nowhere to Run

I love watching 45s spin on the turntable as they play. That video, and the one of "What Becomes Of The Brokenhearted" reminds me of when I was three years old and used to watch the records spin. In fact, WBOTBH 45 is the same pressing and used the same label font as the one I grew up with.

Glad the videos worked OK. I always factor the video into the posting selection but when it comes down to better audio or better video, I go with the better sound. Also, the one I went with for I PASSED THIS WAY BEFORE, besides having very good sound quality, was the only version I could locate that included Jimmy singing "believe me girl" at the very end, and I always liked that little added touch.

My two favorite songs by Jimmy! Fantastic! I agree with Kamasu, it does have a similar feel to Come See About Me. Very similar chord progression, but a little different. The chains is the only thing that reminds me of Nowhere to Run on this one. Regardless, great song!

Exactly. The chord progressions are there just changed around a bit. That and the Andantes going "Ohh, Ohh..." in the background. The Andantes could sing like many of the best gospel singers in Detroit. That part were they do that call and response part with Jimmy....the " And I've got it, yeah, got it, yeah, got it..." That was borrowed from many female gospel groups around Detroit.

I personally thought the videos had terrible sound [[gave me an earache), but, it's youtube. But, those were the actual 45s!
