Fabulous record. Played quite a bit on UK radio at the time. Produced by [[ex-Springfield and ex producer for Cat Stevens) Mike Hurst

Sorry John, I saw "Mike" Hurst in the link and assumed it was your name! I listen to alot of UK based internet soul stations, which are quite good.

You might try Smooth radio on a Saturday.....18:00 hrs until 20:00. There's a 5 hour difference to New York.

You might be able to hear last Saturday's programme here.

Thanks!! I'm in Houston, so that time will work just fine. I listen to Stomp Radio and Starpoint Radio, but I'll check out Smoothradio.

Thanks for positing this very rare Four Tops recording. I see there was comment on youtube that the disco arrangement took away from the vocal. I didn't mind it, but I wonder what magic Midnight Johnny could perform on this?

That would have been a lot cooler if they would have done it as a drippy, soulful ballad. I can just hear Levi Stubbs belting it out.

Isn't the ballad from the first Magnificent 7 album also called "For Your Love?" I'm pretty sure it's a different song with the same title, but it has a beautiful, soulful arrangement and Jean and Levi sing it beautifully.

Now that was a great song. One of the reasons' I bought the Hip-O-Select release. I still have all the old vinyl too!

Well, i'm talking about the Yardbirds song, specifically, NOT the Peaches & Herb song.

I know. I just thought you would enjoy the arrangement of the other "For Your Love" from your earlier comment, and it is ironic they recorded two songs with the same name.

They also recorded two different songs called I Can't Help Myself, but only one was released.
