Big fan of Bill's 1969-71 TV show but besides "Little Old Man" I've never heard anything else the Mr. Bill did musically. If anyone here has heard the instumental album and his take as a singer I'd like to know if he hit it or missed.

Bill had a minor musical hit back in late 1977 with "Yes, Yes, Yes".

Though he was an early big champion of Motown and a serious fan and supporter of jazz
all of his "musical " releases were either parodies of other artists or skits set to the music others created. Yes Yes Yes parodied Barry White and Little Ole Man was based on Stevie Wonder's Uptight. He also had a hit with Hicky Burr and I love Myself Even Better Than I Love
Myself roasting James Brown. More later...

You have to admit that parts of is true to life! Me and my best buddy Kenny use to slisten to this and crack up! LOL!!!!

Hooray For The Salvation Army is worth picking up. He is backed by Charles Watts band, and its some soulful funk, including a take off of "Funky Broadway" called "Funky North Philly", and a cover of "Sgt Pepper".
