I apologize if this is old news to many of you.
But for those who don't know about it, a real and rare treat awaits:

A sensational documentary about the Twist that is simply a hoot and a holler. And it's wonderful for many, many reasons; such as:

-- Interviews with CHOLLY ATKINS, GLADYS HORTON, HANK BALLARD, DEE DEE SHARP, JOEY DEE, CHUBBY CHECKER, BANDSTAND DANCERS CAROLE SCALDEFERRI, JOE FUSCO, JIMMY PEATROSS, & JOAN BUCK;

-- Remarkable footage that will amaze and delight [[it sure amazed and delighted me); &

-- All wrapped up in the terrific perspective and take on things by its director RON MANN.

I can't recommend it highly enough. TWIST . . . and so much more.

I have this. Great doucmentary. Lots of great interviews, and tons of archive footage. A fun film for any music lover, or anybody who grew up in the 60's.

In view of the several Marvalettes-related threads currently going on, I thought it might be a good idea to bump up this old thread today.

It's a wonderful documentary, with terrific, exclusive segments--of particular interest to the Forum--with Gladys Horton and Cholly Atkins. But the entire movie can't be beat--'and you can dance to it', as they used to say on Bandstand in the 1950s. It's totally enjoyable from beginning to end; full of so many amazing interviews, information, and fun stuff. I can't imagine you won't love it as I do. And, of course, a real thrill to see and hear Gladys and Cholly, as well as all the other personalities--and remarkable footage--that's included.

I shall be right back, once I've switched off the phone, made a huge plate of sandwiches, and a lot of coffee.:D
