She was on Wendy Williams last week and she said she has fallen out of love with recording. She said that she will do some live performances here and there but as far as recording and touring, she's done. I've heard other artists say that only to return, so we shall see.
It does happen though. The industry can be very grueling and demanding and it's very possible to just lose the passion for it that you once had.
Some internet speculation brought up the fact that the spotlight is on her sister Tamar now, but hopefully she's not that petty,

Glen, she probably doesn't mean to be petty but she can't help it, But I suspect the spotlight being on Tamar might have something to do with it. It's the sibling rivalry thing. Did you see the episode of the Braxtons where Tamar had her showcase and someone suggested that Toni tour with Tamar? Toni said "why not?" to the cameras but you could tell she wasn't thrilled about the idea. And the sisters have said many times that Toni wants the spotlight all to herself.

She had too much talent to have to be marketed in such a sleazy fashion. I remember the year after J-Lo’s famous grammy dress Toni tried the same stunt and was mocked for being a J Lo imitator and desparate. And her career has continued to sink into reality TV and the like. Oh well, at least she didn’t do porn.

Smark21, that was always my issue with Toni Braxton. I felt the same way, that she was talented enough that she didn't have to result to being some sex kitten. I think it began to overshadow the actual voice.

Kamasu_Jr, I only saw one episode of the show and the rivalry could very well be the case. Didn't know that it was that thick. I guess after being the sister in the spotlight, it's hard to share that spot.

She used her name to get her sisters some shine. Also, in the process it increased her visibility. She had not been selling like she was in her prime. So the decision to go ahead with this show was a win win situation for all involved.
