Ive been going to Jackson forums waiting for info on the newly awaited from the vaults collection - secrecy over details of the project is higher than fort knox - The Jackson estate veto every decision and they are not giving anything away -I think the album could be huge MJ has 200 million fans on facebook nothing to be sneezed at..There is some concen from some fans [[who are avid to say the least) that Mike was such a perfectionist that the results of producers playing with the tracks would not be his vision..but theres nothing he can do about it..One things for certain is long time engineer Bruce Swedien has been given the cold shoulder an has no involvement in the tracks..Katherine is also hawking a new book of photographic "treasures" from the family album..I think the cash register is going to be going "a chink" for the estate in the next few months...

Well ,hopefully the same things that transpired with Jimi Hendrix's vault material ,before his family got some major control ,won't happen with Michael. Jimi's post material was overdubbed with various studio musicians ,all very good ones, the best in the business ,but you wonder would Jimi have picked them for his projects if he had completed them himself while alive? I think the same people who were involved with the original basic tracks ,both technically and music wise would have more of an insite to what he may have been trying to get across. Those first 3 or so post albums were just so so. They gave some idea of the workings of his visions and the behind the scenes view of his technique and musicianship ,but should not have been pushed as "NEW" music by Jimi. Also ,some tracks that artists of this caliber make are not intended by the artist to be released ,let alone reworked or embellished ,by people they never knew or worked with. The same goes for Michael ,who worked with some of the best producers in the business ,in multiple genres and was always experimenting with new sounds and ideas. Some of them by himself alone and some collaborations with other producers that did not have their projects released. The cream de cream of Michael's material unreleased IMHO would be the out-takes of his work with Quincy ,Teddy, Jam and Lewis and Rodney Jerkins. By right they should be included in any release of any material they were originally involved with ,as well as Bruce ,without question. The one thing that should be considered and conveyed to the general public is that a huge part of the genius that was the icon known as Michael Jackson ,was the talent he surrounded himself with and the way they interacted with him. That is a heavy burden to bear and should be carefully controlled ,simply because whatever group of indivduals that have control , have the legacy of one of the true greatest performers of the late 20th century ,in their hands. As such they have the chance to at least counteract some of the cartoon type gimmicks ,and years of hype and personal image damage that plaqued Michael in his life. Hopefully the cooler down to earth heads in the Jackson family like [[IMO) ,Janet ,Tito............... and maybe Jackie ,would have some input in artist control over whats released and the rate of material released and who is involved in the production for release. They should focus on the fact that these vault tracks are a look into what was BEHIND the Michael work that was released to the world commercially and insite into the work that he did behind the scenes ,that made him the icon that he is. Anyting less would be just like someone going through your shiii ,after your dead and gone. Imagine that. Not a good feeling ,is it??? Since his passing ,Michaels work from The Jacksons period up through his last solo work has been packaged ,repackaged ,sliced and diced and hyped to the max. He has become more popular in death as he was in life ,both in a good way and a negative way. I am one who has great respect and admiration for Michael Jackson as an artist and empathy for him as a human being. That being said ,I look forward to whatever projects that may be forthcoming......but you have to forgive me for being blunt , I hope , no pray that they don't fuxx him over in death as they did in life.
"Just stop doggin me around"
"Stop pressuring me ,Stop mssing with me ,Stop fuckin with me, Makes me wanna scream!!!"

There actually have been circulating online a number of unreleased recordings from the vaults online in recent years.
The sound-quality of the upcoming official remaster will no doubt sound in better shape, but nevertheless you could
already compile a few of those circulating tracks as your pre-sampler. Just browse on youtube and type a combination
such as "Michael Jackson unreleased"

These ones below who have actually already been offically released should be included again

Nomis, you're right about the tightness of the security surrounding this new release. Greg Phillinganes was in town a couple of weeks ago and told us some things about the new tracks he's heard and worked on that we're not allowed to repeat. Suffice it to say, there are some great surprises and some great music in store for fans coming soon.

.One things for certain is long time engineer Bruce Swedien has been given the cold shoulder an has no involvement in the tracks.

There's always a tendency for the new administration to shun the old guard. But, in this case, I think Swedien being in on the project would have been very beneficial, as he engineered and mixed the lion's share of MJ's material. He was also a trusted friend who had a feel for where Michael would have wanted to go. Greg Phillinganes was also in that loop.

I just hope they don't try to modernize MJ's sound too much, adding a bunch of hip-hop elements to it, and adding that cold "digital" sound to it.

Micheal Jackson was always the mastermind behind his ,usic and image. I do not think the public ever believed tha MJ was a savvy business man as well as a gret performer. This release of his material I am also sure will not be without drama - like anything that is MJ.

Hopefully it will be handled with great taste and style.

I think this will be the last cd to sell any big quantity in this format,it will be a huge event but the cd as we know it is dying in big blockbuster sellers,Black Eyed peas,Rihanna,Beyonce and Justin Timberlake will still sell numbers for their next releases but the market of cd is coming to an end...

You darn skippy, and Rod Temperton too. Not to mention the hidden gems that he did with Stevie Wonder that no one ever talks about.

My thoughts exactly ladyvanaye!!!
Mike's demo of PYT is the JOINT!!!!! Better to me than the reworked released version. Now that's Mike.

I think this is one of them. The late Carl Anderson is missed ...
