With the late, great Gladys Horton taking lead with her glorious voice and oh-so-lovely self, Wanda Rogers and Katherine Anderson perform one of my most favored tunes from Motown. The always remarkable work of The Funk Bros. is augmented by the strings of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and the heavenly voices that enhance the celestial sound of the recording are those of The Andantes.
Like the terrific video in the Choker Campbell/COME SEE ABOUT ME posting put up on SDF earlier today, the exceptional video accompanying The Marvelettes here is, once again, the beautiful work of Tomovox.
