We've all heard Martha Reeves mention that the name "Vandellas" came from "Van" Dyke Avenue in Detroit and "Della" Reese.
Recently, there was a thread posted here where Roz and Nettie [[and Martha) give a different account of how the name was created [[that it possibly was Berry Gody's idea; or that slips of paper were passed around a room until someone come up with a name).
Here is another video where Martha explains the name; another piece of the mystery surrounding one of Motown's greatest girl-groups:
