We just received the National Endowment of the Arts Jazz Master book for 2013. Inside cover has the group photo of all the "Jazz Masters" taken last January 2012.

Bonnie gave us 3 shoutouts from the stage, dedicated two songs to us, and said "Jimmy Scott was one of the world's greatest singers in music history with a voice so soft and beautiful, uhhh..."

Great photos, Soul Sister!

I love Bonnie Raitt. I've been a fan since her Boston days. Her talent speaks for itself and I've always admired the help she's given her fellow musicians, especially the blues artists.

I'm not surprised she gave accolades to Jimmy. He deserves them since he's influenced so many artists over the decades in every genre of music.

I'm glad you two had a wonderful time at the show and you know I love the outfits.:cool:

Bonnie is the real deal!
I had to laugh when she told the people talking in the front row to be quiet. She said I am trying to sing a ballad here and you people are making too much noise breaking my concentration. I assume you bought front row tickets because you wanted to hear me. If you want to talk get out! LOL....my girl told it like it was, gotta love her!!! :D
A musician told me when Jimmy was singing his heart out at an R&B Awards Ceremony [[I believe he meant The R&B Foundation) people in the audience had still been talking after Jimmy started singing so Bonnie went all around the room and told everyone to shut up and listen, the great Little Jimmy Scott was singing! They stopped talking and listened intently. HAAAAAAAAAA!!!
Bonnie is something else, great lady and talented artist!!!
