Not sure if this is Detroit or Chicago. I think the latter.

The label says that it was recorded in Memphis. I think Denise LaSalle had some involvement with it, and Crajon was her company. She might have been living in Chicago at the time, but some of her productions were done in Memphis.

According to Billboard Hot R&B Songs, they are a vocal trio from Chicago. On the chart on 8/22/70 and reached #34. Good one!

I would have never guessed Memphis. But it figures. The Sequins had that Emotions sound.

Crajon was a Chicago label, but more of their recrdings were made in Memphis than in Chicago.

They always sounded so sweet. I wonder what became of them. Clearly their recordings
were influenced by the sucess of The Emotions, their backing musicians even imitated
the riff of So I Can Love You on this song:

I wish there was footage of them singing, at least even lip-syncing somewhere on youtube...
When I think of all of the talented singers and musicians the 50's, 60's and 70's produced it
just boggles my mind. As big as a jazz ,blues and so-called "world music" fan that I am,
there's nothing like real SOUL....:)....

AMG, I was surprised to find has what looks like a pretty accurate bio on the group
but the discography wrongly refers to the boy rock band by the same name. Still here it is..
