Supremes 32 Unreleased Tracks

On Amazon, there is a new listing for a January 29th release. It is a CD listed as "32 Tracks Unreleased Cuts" by Diana Ross and The Supremes.

I hate to get my hopes up ... but what could this be? I have never heard any rumors of something like this being in the pipeline.

Even a "bootleg" could not really be advertised like this! :-)

Ahh...I bet you are right. The Marginal release [[which I didn't even know about before) also is subtitled "Unreleased Tracks" on the back of the CD anyway...

Well, I'm learning a lot tonight. I didn't know that, either. The new title is still uncannily similar to the title Jobeterob remembered...so it could be the same material plus a few more on another bootleg. Still, it will be interesting to find out what's on it.

For a set that is due to be released in just over a week the title is somewhat vague, and if it is an "official" release, how has this been kept below the radar for so long?

This was around in the early 90's. I remember seeing it at Medium Rare Records [[which specialized in mostly import stuff). Same packaging and song list.
All of this material has been now released by Universal.

I bought this CD years ago when it first came out. I 'think' it's the CD that has a Supremes song sung by Christine Schumacker, which she won to do in a contest Motown had. I'll have to dig it out and check this.

Definitely not the FLOS, I had the CD store owner play it for me and it was DR and Co.

Whatever it is it's 100% certain that there are NO unreleased cuts on it! Marginal went under years ago when the guy committed suicide. The bootleg CD's keep on appearing on eBay to be sold to an unsuspecting and unknowledgeable public. Amazon are also at fault for still selling the things :[[

Andy has confirmed that it's fake. I have emailed Amazon about it and have a received an interim reply that they are investigating the matter.

I just googled "Unreleased Tracks 32 Cuts," and the first [[and only) two sites that came up with relevant results were the aforementioned Amazon link, and this forum. Doesn't look promising at all.

Apparently, someone keeps reissuing those Marginal releases. There are discs coming from the Marvelettes, Mary Wells, The Capitols, Tammi Terrell, Hits & Rarities from Martha & The Vandellas, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Darlene Love, the Ronettes, Soul Boppin' Ladies, etc.
Remember when some of us were glad to get this bootlegged stuff?? Marginal did make the producers at some record companies to get off their asses and head to their vaults.
Wonder if they've remastered these things since some of the material [[the so-called rarities) have been officially released through Universal and other companies?

Someone in Belgium called 'Patrick' seems to have a factory in his garden shed and just keeps churning them out. Agreed Kam, it did make UMe sit up and act!

Whatever happened to this release? None of the online vendors have copies.

Listed as "out of stock" on Amazon, and interestingly, is now simply a Diana Ross release.

Most likely someone informed Amazon.com and others about the origins of this disc --that it was a bootleg and it got stopped cold. It is the Marginal disc that came out years ago.
