I didn't want to clog up the "Take me Higher/ B Sides thread with videos, so I decided to start this thread. This is one of the best Diana Ross CD's IMO. I will add interviews and performances from this CD. First up is an interview that Diana did for this project. In it she discusses her process when making a new CD. She talks about the different producers like Brenda Russell and Narada Michael Walden. The work she did with them is outstanding. I especially like the Brenda Russell produced tracks. Also included is lots of footage of her in the studio recording these songs. That is a real treat. This interview is broken up into 3 parts.

"I'm Gone" is one of my favorite songs from this CD. Here is Diana singing it live. Not the best, but it's the only time that I've seen her sing it live.

she did an amasing version of "Voice Of The Heart" on the UK's Des Oconnor Show...an energetic appearance on "Top Of The Pops" for " I Will Survive"..If I remember correctly she also did the national lotterry as well...Uk breakfast tv shows heavily promoted "Gone" with EPKs and interviews..she did an interview with one of the Sunday newspaper supplements who wrote a scathing piece on her..there was positive press articles in a couple of Gay magazines

Thanks Skooldem1. I hadn't seen the Broadcast Interviews before, very interesting. I had the good fortune to make it to the Leno [[Tonight Show) taping of IYNGLMR. TMH remains one of Ross' best albums and it has aged well. By far the best of her second tenure at MoTown. The tour around this album was also one of her best, she was in great form. Can't believe the album is 18 years old. Yikes!

I cant believe I cried when I saw her do Voice of the Heart live and all of the people were giving her flowers it was very touching. Thanks for these clips I have seen all of them except for two and they were great!

I think the Take Me Higher is one of Ross’ best albums. And while I like the title song, it always reminded me of Whitney Houston’s So Emotional, which was also produced by Narada Michael Walden.

If they had it to do over again, I wonder if they'd release Voice of the Heart as the first single.

It was more classic Diana and less "trying to keep up to the current crop" than Take Me Higher.

The single Take Me Higher wasn't one of my favorites at the time; but it is now.
