Currently being sold on eBay; 32 bids.....winning bid at $1600.00.

This must be one of the most rare Motown picture sleeves? What other sleeves could command such a price?

I'm glad I bought mine when I did. It only cost $30.

Ok, but when you think about it. Hasn't that photo been published in some book like girl Groups Story of A Sound or some other book that can be had much cheaper than $1,600? I've seen the picture before. In fact, my dad has a copy in his pile of Motown junk.

If you look at the bidding history, it's 2 people bidding against each other. These may be the only two people in the world willing to pay that much.

Maybe its Diana. Supposedly she has someone who buys rare memorabilia of hers that she doesn't have.

Especially when I can remember the same exact record and picture sleeve being sold for $15 at a record shop on Colfax in Denver back in the eighties!

Had it in the 80s, enjoyed it and sold it. Had all The Supremes/Motown US pic sleeves and albums by the major artists. Fun hobby but the time came to put the toys away.

You're right Rob. If there's the same record for sale next week it'll never sell that much. It must be some great seller's moment. :)

Why should Supremes memoribilia be less valuable than Beatles etc? They were the premiere American group of the 60s, and a movie made about them, and a Broadway show coming etc etc

What pretty young ladies they were. I also think YHBTM shows the clear potential of Diana's voice.

$3500! Incredible. This is like the old days when rare records were valuable.

Lucky Diana did that Naomi show if this is her!

Why would you think that?

I've got a few old scrapbooks of Motown material. I'm gonna start going through them right now!

I don’t know enough about ebay, but in looking at who’s making the bids, the one who won the bidding is identified as “s****r””. Maybe ebay completely scrambles user names to protect confidentiality, but maybe they only conceal all the letters between the first and last letter of a user’s handle? Just a hunch on my part as Supremester loves Miss Ross and is a big fan of “He’s Seventeen”, the flip side of “Your Heart belongs to Me”.

Yes they do, smark. The letters used don't correspond with the ebayers' real names.

$3,950.00 !!! Congrats to the seller !

I thought the days of paying high prices for Supremes junk was over. But I guess not.

How unique that the buyer would appear to have similar initials to a known poster here.

Generally, the values of a lot of this stuff has declined a lot over the last 10 years.

I wonder if any of the Supremes other than Diana have this kind of money to pay for empty sleeves!

If they're only getting the sleeve for the picture, I think they could have found one on the net and printed it for free.

I find it a little interesting that one of their first singles [[I know it is their 3rd as "the Supremes") is titled, "Your Heart Belongs to me" and their last was titled "You Are the Heart of Me".
