I can't get over Berry's ear to ear grin as he is sitting in the rear seat of this special edition Chrysler. What a wonderful recognition he has received, and what a cool concept for him to be driven around Detroit, and stopping at the Motown Studio. As Louvain Demps stated, everyone wants to smell their flowers while they can.

BB gives back to Detroit, his charity smile, while driving aMotown endorsed auto in a mega-buck paid commercial ad sponsored by tax-payer bailedout Chrysler and ends up in NYC. Holidaygiving at its best. Thank you BB …Detroit can now go pay its light bill with the smile you left it while passingthrough on you road trip. Great shot ofthe Hitsville Museum … is that a mouse sitting by the house or is it actually inthe house?
And where again are the grant millions that the city of Detroitallocated for the multi-million dollar Motown complex that was never built; orthe parking fees collected for years by a Motown related entity from the vacantland provided to Motown by the City of Detroit for it to build this Motown project? Or the Gordy Foundation Fund of $750,000 plusaccumulated interest allegedly set up to help Motown alumni through hard times? [[See earlier posts and responses – why berepetitive.) The Museum’s red ink and noendowment after decades of existence is simply a matter of “no change in theguard” lack of leadership and fiscal responsibility. After decades and big-name entertainerfundraisers … the museum is basically nothing more than a broke rundown Detroithousing project.
Forensic accounting is like CSI. One traces and identifies dollars and bankaccounts; and the other traces and identifies bones of a possible victim of acrime. Both are fairly exacting sciences.
But … being in the holiday spirit … BB … you still have a Detroitmega-watt-multi-million dollar smile. Quite an impressive charity!

Some people seem to love the museum just as it is.

2013 Chrysler 300 Motown to Debut in Detroit

Date Published: 12/29/2012
Historically, Detroit has served as the nation's auto industry hub, earning it the nickname "Motor City." But the Motor City has also played a significant role in the music industry. With the introduction of the 2013 Chrysler 300 Motown special edition, the automaker salutes Detroit history and heritage in a thoroughly modern vehicle.

In 1959, Detroit native Berry Gordy Jr. founded a record company with an $800 loan from his family and within a few years the label, Motown [[Motor Town) Records, was releasing chart-topping singles and hit records.

Although Motown Records moved to Los Angeles in 1972, Chrysler commemorates the company's beginnings in Detroit with a new special edition of the 300 sedan after the music industry icon. The new 2013 Chrysler 300 Motown includes additional chrome exterior trim, unique grille with sculpted horizontal blades, special badges, touring-tuned suspension, and polished 20-inch aluminum wheels in a "heritage" design. Paint color choices include Bright White, Gloss Black, Deep Cherry Red, and a new Jazz Blue.

Inside, the Chrysler 300 Motown special edition model's interior is black except for the Pearl White Nappa premium leather seats with perforated inserts and black piping. Piano Black trim is used extensively in the 300 Motown's cabin, as well as Black Olive Ash wood trim and Satin Silver accents.

Also standard is a Uconnect 8.4 infotainment system, including an SD card reader pre-loaded with 100 songs by original Motown recording artists--such as The Jackson 5, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight & the Pips, The Isley Brothers, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, Diana Ross & The Supremes, The Temptations, The Commodores, Lionel Ritchie, and yes, even Rick James. A Beats Audio premium sound system is available, according to Chrysler.

The new 2013 Chrysler 300 Motown goes on sale nationwide in the spring of 2013, equipped with a 292-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The price is $33,990, including the $995 destination charge.
