I just saw on www.soultracks.com/unsung-6th-season that the sixth season begins on 1/21/13. Two Motown artists will be featured this season. Edie Kendricks will have an entire show and there will also be a show lasting 2 hours dedicated to disco featuring 2 dozen performances by a variety of disco artists, one of particular interest will be Thelma Houston.

Eddie Kendricks and Johnny Gill, I see...still waiting for Dazz Band, Motown-Wise, and Patrice Rushen, unsung-general-wise.

Wonders how deep the "disco" ep will go....y'know, Disco did not end in 1980, as think of all the quality disco artists since...Martha Wash & the Weather Girls' "It's Raining Men", while Taana Gardner, of late 70s' "Work Your Body" hitted later with "Heartbeat", along with continued into the mid-80s catalogs of Prelude [[France Joli, D-Train, Sharon Redd), Salsoul [[Aurra, Surface, Skyy), West End [[Taana Gardner, Barbara Mason, Raw Silk, Sybil Thomas, Shirley Lites), and SOLAR [[Shalamar, Dynasty, Whispers, Midnight Star, Lakeside, Carrie Lucas, Deele, Collage). We could even say there's disco in the 90s [[Haddaway's "What Is Love", Real McCoy's "Another Night", Amber's "This Is Your Night", SNAP!'s "The Power", ect) and even today, I would say Daft Punk is an awesome "disco" group of today.

Let's keep our fingers crossed. Certainly the 70's Supremes are deserving.

If anyone is unsung it's Thelma Houston. One of the all time greats! She is much more than disco.

Really looking forward to the Eddie Kendrick episode.

I am looking forward to this one too. I am very curious to see who they included as far as interviews go [[family, friends, artists, etc.). Eddie's story is a very complex one......
