I saw him in May here in Cleveland...thought he put on one helluva show. I wound up buying both of his CD's afterward. He came back one time since then, but I wasn't able to see him a second time.

Best,

Mark

I also saw Charles in concert, at the same venue as Lee, the Beachland Ballroom!! That was also the place I DJ'ed three years ago.

Best,

Mark

Hi Mark!
Lee really puts on a dynamic show. And his "Faithful Man" will be my number one record in 2012.

Hi John!
I agree that Charles is a magnificent singer. However, after listening to his new "Love Is Only Everything" CD a couple of times, I find it a bit disappointing compared to his earlier albums.

Best regards

This seems like a conversation better served over on Southern Soul. ;-)

Hi Imnokid!

You're correct, but sometimes here on the non-Motown forum we also have good dialogue on other music areas, too, including southern soul.
And Mr. Lee Fields comes from the familiar NJ region these days.
But you're right - this discussion can be carried on over there, too. Whatever who decides...

Best regards
