I dont wish to be negative but can there be an market for the Chairmen of the Board release ? This stuff has come out so many times already. The Sidney Joe Qualls is much more interesting.

This is a budget priced series with everything priced at around a fiver [[£5) a pop. There is a recession over here, so I just wanted to have a series that wouldn't break the bank for people who want to listen to great Soul music. Also, despite how many previous comps may have been out, one always has to remember that that younger buyers come along all the time and this could well be the first COTB CD that they may buy, as it's probably within their budget.

Well, now they are in my hands, I have to yet again congratulate Backbeats not only on the quality of the recordings, but also on the very high quality of the print work and graphic design. Whilst we can no longer enjoy 12 inch vinyl album art, Backbeats does its utmost to present the product in a highly appealing and imaginative format, and does a great job of presenting the original artwork. Furthermore, at a mere 5 GBP a pop, they represent unbeatable value!
Surprised indeed to discover that Auntie BBC is now releasing utterly soulful music , via its Backbeats / Harmless / Demon Music Group subsidiaries! The BBC suddenly got very hip!!!
