Battling for your sales attention....all of them have CDs currently available. Search Dusty Groove, Amazon.com, etc.

A underrated slice of sweet soul & funk from a Durham, North Carolina group.

The Barrino Brothers: This has a different lyric from the version by Freda Payne.

Black Ivory:

Much better than Black Ivory in my opinion. Smith Connection, my current favorites. Under My Wings...is sublime sweet soul. Find It!

Kam, The Smith Connection were really good but I have a weakness for this Black Ivory
track:

I'm probably biased having grown up with Leroy Burgess in the hood at the time. I never told him how much I liked this song because his ego was big enough.LOL.....

I hope the link works, but this is another favorite. Like Smith Connection, the Main Ingredient featuring Donald McPhearson - had harmonies that soared.

Kam, I have that Main Ingredient. Don McPhearson was the truth! I remember how sad my crew was
when he passed away. I liked their version of Curtis Mayfield's I'm So Proud more than the original...
Another group that though they didn't have as many hits, produced some real gems like this from
The Soul Generation...
