Grammy Award winning singer Dennis Edwards - wowed Bethune Cookman College tonite with a sensational show. The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards did an amazing job of bringing Motown to life old school style in a new school style way. Clad in dashing white custom made designer suits trimed with sparkling rinestone studs - on blue background fabric, the guys made quite an entrance, to the roar of the crowd.
To say Mr. Edwards voice is amazing is a gross understatement, and he still can dance and move with ease. The set was about 75 minutes long - featuring a full orchestra. Paul Williams Jr. does a great job joining Mr. Edwards Temptations Review. And I believe Paul adds a bit of the legend to this show by performing the songs his father once did.
David Sea - is really the standout - in what could be considered the David Rffin spot - his voice is too much too believe. Chris pulling in the Eddie Kendricks like vocals is on point all night long - with Mike hitting the Melvin Franklin bass lines like magic.
What Mr. Edwards has done is smart - he did not try to reinvent the wheel - he just went out and found singers that sound exactly like the orginals - and in most cases better.
The staging is dramatic from start to finish - the lighting is magic - a true tribute to the legend that is The Temptations and Motown.
