My Motown Friends!!! Since last week, there wasn't enough time to even put a dent into all the tracks, join me tonight for part 2 of Motown's Lady Solo Artists, where I'll play more of the great songs recorded by Motown's loveliest! I'll play seconds on some, and you'll hear some of the ladies that I didn't air last week.
Joining me one more time is the lovely and talented Justine Alten, who will help me with one more installment of the
WOMR 2012 Autumn Pledge Drive. Just to remind folks that WOMR/WFMR are non-commercial, community supported stations depending on listeners and businesses for support to stay on the air. It also allows me to
play whatever I want....and I want Motown [[or MOSTLY Motown) by producing my own shows. But don't feel
compelled to pledge. But if you do, like last week, I have premiums [[gifts) for your pledges....some great
Motown/UMe cds I know you will like...and a few from my own archives [[not duped!). And thanks to Harry Weinger
of UMe for his generous donation of many of these cd gifts!

Also...thanks to my buddies on SDF....Howard, Glen, Joseph, Bruce and Tony for your very generous pledge of support! Much appreciated! And thanks to Rich Rubino, host of "Sounds Of America"[[The Great American Songbook) on WOMR on Thursdays 5P-8P ET, for his generous pledge!

So do join me tonight as I spotlight, again, the Motown Ladies...on "Nightflight"....on WOMR 92.1 FM Provincetown and WFRM 91.3 FM Orleans and we are streaming live worldwide in digital stereo at www.womr.org [[http://www.womr.org/)
Thanks!!!
John

P.S. Thanks again to Harry, Andy, and the Universal gang for providing the donation swag. Loving my Paul Williams CD and it sounded like there were a lot of great choices left so if anyone flips their couch cushions tonight and vacumn's up some spare change do put it toward this great show! ;)
Stepping off my soapbox now! lol..... See everyone tonight!

Hey John

Can you refer me to the pledge area on the website or tell us how to pledge?

I listen to the ends of the shows and as often as I can; it's hard with work in the West of the Country.

But you have some EXCELLENT shows.

Sure, I'll be tunin' in. But considering tonight's theme, you might want to consider giving away sequined gowns instead. Otherwise, I'll just have to make do. With the one I have on. But the only thing I'll have on tonight is . . . NIGHTFLIGHT. It's the one thing that always fits. And that suits me just swell!

Been enjoying "The Blue Thumb Collection" [[thanks for mailing so fast). These two "early" Sylvester albums are unique classics. Very cool to have them both together and sounding fantastic. Another Hip-O home run. And the bonus tracks from "Lights Out San Francisco" are the perfect addition.:) Looking forward to more Motown ladies tonight!

Glen.....thank you so much for the plug...and for encouraging me to imagine myself in that iconic LSTB shot. I love gardinias, but my hair is too short [[and absent) to wear them. Glad you are liking that Paul Williams cd. So glad you'll be here tonight!

Rob....well thank you for those very kind words!!! And for your pledge too! To pledge, just go to www.womr.org [[http://www.womr.org/)
On the main page, there is a huge red "Donate" tab in the upper right hand corner. Then just follow the directions!
Thanks again, Rob...I apppreciate your generosity!

Bruce...I think the gowns idea might be too difficult...all those alterations that would be needed. Plus...I don't think
Ms. Wilson would appreciate WOMR getting money for gowns for which SHE is getting money.
Glad you'll be here, Mr C!
