"Nightflight" Tue Nov 6, 9P-12M ET: Motown Female Solo Artists....ALL of them!

Howdy there, VOTERS! I hope you did!

Tonight, on "Nightflight", very special show featuring Motown Female
Solo Artists....ALL of them! Or as many as I can fit into 3 hours. Now...what this entails is any Motown female singer who was a soloist, or who was part of a Motown group and became a solo artist afterwards...or was one before....I hope that isn't as clear as mud!
Researching for these shows is always enlightening. This time I found a couple of Motown's lady singers that I didn't know about.

Also...it's WOMR's Autumn Pledge Drive. That's not a hint. Do not feel compelled to call in a pledge. But if you do...I have a number of Motown/UMe cds that Harry Weinger and Andy Skurow were kind enough to share with me to use as gifts for your pledge of support to our lovely non-commercial radio station. These cds are great and a couple are quite rare. More about that during the show.

The lovely Justine will be joining me, as I continue to
educate her on the finer points of Motown....well....I'll share with her what I know, anyway!
And as usual...a few surprises, too.
So do join Justine and me for the special show...cramming in as may Motown ladies as I can in 3 hours.

Gloria Jones's "Share My Love" LP released on CD is a gem. Several tunes are tops such as "Why Can't You Be Mine" and "Oh Baby": a must have for a Motown collector such as me. Not a request, Johnny. Just wanted to note her album.
