Hello collective wisdom! Does anyone here know if there's ever been an "official" Aretha Franklin fan club on the national level? Or maybe local groups? A lot of fan club-type activities these days are managed through artist websites, Facebook, and the like, but I'm curious to what extent Aretha's fans got organized and communicated with each other pre-internet. Thoughts? Thanks!
