This is an excellent performance.

If only the material had been stronger ~ there just wasn't a strong hook here or a good melody.

Personally, I strongly, strongly dislike this song. It's crap, but that's just my opinion.

liked it. 1 of my favs from the lp. Bend A Little should have been the premiere single.good vocals

The song is OK…it could have benefitted from a harder hitting backing track and Scherrie probably should have sung lead the entire song, rather than closing it out. Supremes 75 is such an odd album—the first half is very hit and miss, but the second half has a fine set of songs. If I could go back in time and be the Exec producer on the album, I would have vaulted This is Why I Believe in You, Where Is it I Belong and Early Morning Love, and subbed “Can We Love Again”, “Bend a Little”, and “Sha-La Bandit” [[Mary, Cindy, Scherrie shared lead version).
