I'm confused about something. When did Mowest Studios originally open? My understanding is that is was in 1971 and prior to that, most of Motown's L.A. sessions between 1970 and 1971 were done at The Sound Factory and that Mowest was in a different location than Hitsville on Romaine. When did Mowest open and close, and when did Hitsville on Romaine open? Every album says Motown Recording Studios, but where did Mowest and Hitsville come in? I would appreciate any feedback, I have been trying to figure this out for years.
