This question is for those of us that listen beyond the words to a song ,i'm talking about the melody so the question of the day is this...what would you say are the most beautiful motown melodies? For me it's..since i lost my baby..i'll try something new..memories, remember-melodies!

Sorry. With Motown, I always focus on the rhythm.

You’re always lecturing us about sound quality then you turn around and state you ‘re unable to focus on melody on Motown songs?!

Sorry. With Motown, I always focus on the rhythm.

And so because you do you think everyone else should too?...
Why with Motown? Not with Stax, or Philly, Hi, Atlantic, Invictus or Westbound?...
Mercy! Maybe you would have done better to focus on another thread, soulster:)....

Anyhoo, there were always so many great writers at Motown but I've always been partial
to the melodies of Smokey Robinson so I'll list two of his:
Swept For You, Baby
A Fork In The Road
Not to forget all of the things he wrote for others including the above mentioned My Smile
Is Just A Frown...
Also I'd like to throw in Sunny Boy by D. Ross and the Chicks though I can't remember just
who penned that tune. I love the delivery and bounce of it...
