That's when the group was Diana Ross, Diane Ross and Florence Ballard. Although rumors have circulated that it wasn't Flo at the photo session, but really Shantel Baker...

That is a very poor drawing of Mary - at least you can see touches of Diana and Flo in the other two heads...

To me, it looks like CIndy, Diana, and Flo.

That's exactly what I see. I just thought the artwork was interesting and had to share.

It's a link to a Diana Ross and The Supremes Lp for sale [[sold) on eBay.

The cover is an artists drawing, but it looks like 2 Diana's and 1 Flo.

I noticed some lousy drawings of The Supremes...now, I 'get it'. Thanks. Thought I was losing it.

The one on the left looks like a Diana/Flo mix, the center looks like Diana, and the right looks like Flo. None of the three resemble Mary at all. Interesting cover.

Yes, interesting, and curious that their features have been altered and stylised. At best, the cover does no more than just 'look like' The Supremes. Why not simply use a photo?

It's as though the artist created the artwork wishing to present the group's facial features as being more Spanish in appearance.

There may have been a feeling, right or wrong, that in some way the market would then relate to the product more readily...but I'd have thought the image of The Supremes as they really were would, by that time, have been readily identifiable to Spanish record buyers...
