It's another interesting release from ACE Records in its excellent singer/songwriter series. The disc, Hard to Handle, spotlights songs written by the legendary singer that were recorded by others [[Arthur Conley, Aretha, Etta James, etc.) Many of the songs I had not heard of. Too bad the focus is kind of limited to black artists because Tom Jones used to do Hard To Handle in his nightclub act and it rocked. I'm also looking forward to another ACE CD spotlighting the songs of another Otis- Otis Blackwell.
