Met him at the Prestatyn Weekender.
He has a great voice .... but an uncontrollable temper !!!!
but an uncontrollable temper !!!!
Really ? What have he done ?
For me he's a very talented guy, singer, producer and mostly composer. I have all his LP's and his CD "Just The Beginning" is fantastic : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Just-Beginning-Prince-Phillip-Mitchell/dp/B00013MWZC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1344328261&sr=8-1

I saw him in London in the early 70s, I think it was with Al Green and the show was promoted by Contempo. I can still vividly recall his dancing in a green jump suit .... very lean and tall, he was unbelievably energetic and did enormous splits and leaps, it was truly a display of gymnastics. Here's the link to a great article on him..... talks about his dancing, also Don Covay

And here he is live at Prestatyn - great performance -

Thanks for these links Mike, I previously read the ITB article but I've never seen Phillip Mitchell live. Too bad he left aside his singer's career !
