Dave you are very welcome. Sometimes I believe if you really want to get to real stories behind Motown, you have to the ones that were overlooked, downplayed or those that were there at the very start such as Al Abrams.

Bobby Taylor has enough experiences to fill up a great book I am sure!

Well, I was a kid and I believed whatever I was told for the most part. That story of Diana Ross discovering them was only solidified when I saw the J-5 Cartoon back in the early 70's.

I wonder if Michael and the others ever publicly acknowledged Bobby Taylor after they became superstars? I know they have done so with Gladys Knight.

As a side note, it was Mary Wilson and Florence Ballard who discovered Bobby Taylor & the Vancouvers and told Berry Gordy about them.

I was very happy to see Bobby dispute what J. Randy Taraborelli wrote in his book on Michael.
