Here is something really special. I have been looking for this performance every since it originally aired on NBC in 1985. The Four Tops' guest appearance on "The Motown Revue" starring Smokey Robinson. This was one of their great TV shots. Enjoy!

You are very welcome. Think about it, they were at it for over 30 years by this point and were still at the top of their game. No wonder they were called "The Four Tops!" LOL!!!

LEVI was The Four Tops, I did not miss one visit to the UK and caught several shows on some visits, Theo was a great addition, but sadly since then it is no longer The Four Tops we all loved, but No One can ever take away the memories we have on CD & DVD! YOU will be ever with us LEVI!

Thanks for the post.I miss my annual concert with the Tops.

I think the last time i saw Levi was 1994 Hammersmith Odeon.
No one in music before or since has meant so much to me as Levi and the Tops.
I listen to the Tops every day.
Levi best singer who ever lived.
Tops best vocal group
Best live act
Best single

Wow, these videos are great! I admit, until I saw this thread I was unaware of Smokey's Motown Revue TV show. Thanks Marv!

Wow. Exceptional. What a class act. It brought a tear to my eye, remembering that all but Duke are gone now. Still, like all class acts, they will nonetheless live forever.

Whenever you saw the Four Tops in concert they just made you feel good! I've seen them many times from one end of the country to the other. I remember they appeared in the Hudson's Thanksgiving Day Parade in Detroit the same year as this clip and the crowd loved them.

FYI Dave, that's brother Bruce who was the music director/conductor for that series. Russ Terrana also worked on that series. I went down to the first taping and Bruce and Russ were cutting up as usual. Funny seeing that Arsenio Hall was the guy hired to do the audience warmup. BTW...Bruce and I will be in Detroit this month for a few affairs we have lined up. I'm gonna drag him down to The Motown Museum where he used to work as a teenager. My good friend Allen Rawls was just appointed CEO of the museum so we're looking forward to hooking up. Should be some fun.

NIce work, Bruce. Great to hear you two bros are going back to the Motor City, Stu. Respect to you both. I hope you will give us a full report.

Now how about some expanded Four Tops releases as they are well overdue.

Now that's what I have been asking for for a good while now. I'd love to have some of the Four Tops albums given the "deluxe" treatment.
