I was about to say the same exact thing.. "The Jefferson's" remains one of my favorite sitcoms.

I like the closing theme song as much [[or more) than the opening. Ja'Net Dubois put her foot into it and she was just humming the whole time.

But, I digress, RIP to Sherman Hemsley. I'd prefer to call him George or Deacon Frye, but that's to his credit and not meant to be a slam on my part.
